I acquired this set of window garnish years back. Since I’m more of a Deuce fan, the mouldings hung in the corner for 20 years. Maybe for a Victoria but not sure as the rear window moulding is suspect in design and painted black unlike the other mouldings. Any 33 aficionados to help figure out what they fit ? Thanks Hambers !
I can’t think of any 33’s with a square top to the front window, except for a woody or a cabriolet. And neither of those uses window moldings similar to the other closed cars. Got me stumped. Those rear sides do look like they could fit a 33 vicky though. The back molding looks like the sides flare out weird. Might just be the photo angle. Any weld marks you can see on the back?
Isn't there a dip in the center on a 33/4? I think all Vicky models were dlx. If I had to guess I'd almost say 32 but the "front" of the big mldgs aren't heavy enuff. The rears look right for either, almost. The hard corners are a head scratcher, not 33/4 but not 32, totally. I need to scam out one of my V8 books to be certain if they're even Ford.
If you are stumped as I am , we can make it more challenging with old black felt pen writing on one of the door garnish. “33 C 400”
https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/1933-ford-c400.1004494/ It's a thing... square corners are puzzling...
The rear looks like a 33,34 Coupe with the squared off bottom corners.Sedans are rounded. The 1/4 ones appear to be 33 Vicky. The other pair ,not a clue as front doors are radiused at the top front.Post these pics on FordBarn .The owner of The Ford Store in San Dimas has a 33 Vicky.Stop in and see Michael. Here is a pic of my 33 std tudor drivers side interior. The Vicky garnish would b nearly identical
C-400 existed only in imaginations and hot rodders’ shops. Those are 33 moldings as 32’s had a flat to the profile where you rest your arm. Later in 34 is when the decorative side dip started.
I think they're 32. A little bigger than sedans, and if my searches are right the "fat" look at the front appears to be a separate part. A little stand up similar to the windshield side trims. The back window, wide with a more flat bottom. All of you Deuce closed car owners and experts can chime in to confirm or deny but I really think 32 victoria.
I think you have two Ford garnishes (the rear quarter windows) and three from other make(s) or (slight maybe) European Ford. The front windows do not match a US Ford door shape nor does the profile of the "belt" at the bottom. Likewise with the potentially rear window garnish. The rear quarters could possibly be from a Victoria. Measure the length and height and we will be able to tell you for sure.
@theHIGHLANDER I don’t see the quarter garnishes being ‘32, the height to length ratio is off. ‘32 Victoria garnish mouldings would be around 1:1 1/2, 12” of height x 18” of length by rough estimate. I’m leaning toward the quarter garnishes being ‘33 but have no guess on the door or rear pieces.
I measured the 1/4 mouldings and they are ; 12.25 inch in height 23.75 inch in length hope this gets us closer to the true story
Thanks for the input guys. I’ll keep on researching on the subject. If I come to a conclusion, I’ll letcha all in on the outcome.
I would suggest also posting this question (with the measurements) on Ford Barn since it looks like you've hit a dead end here.
