I have a few sheet metal parts, a hood ornament and 2 spoke knock offs that I need help identifying. Sheet metal parts could be 40 ford/Mercury car or truck or 34 ford pickup. They were used in Panel and sedan delivery also, most of the time mounted on the kick panels , on 1928-29 trucks sometimes they were mounted on the side panel behind the doors.

I seem to recall seeing this creature on a 1980s Toyota:

I tried a bit of image searching on the web with my minimal skills with no luck.

Those knockoffs feel aftermarket to me. The screws inside would fit into a cup in the centerbore of a wheel and could only be put on with the wheel unbolted. The screws in them lead me to believe they may be pre 1970 but that is simply a guess. The way it is cast suggests late 1950s into the 1960s. I do not believe that would be a factory piece. Sorry I can't be more specific. I have been selling custom wheels since 1980. This does not look like anything I have seen before that I can recall.

Rather than going in a wheel, my best guess on the knockoff is that it may be a center for add-on wire wheel hubcaps?

thanks CaptainComet, I actually have 2 wire wheel caps that have these knockoffs mounted on them. I’ll post a picture of them later when I get a chance.

I’ve tried searching too many times but not finding it. Someone thought it was from a Tucker, no luck with it either.

I think it's a Toyota Celica badge, or a knock off. Once I put in those search terms I found lots of them, which goes to show how crappy the image search feature is.

Which I knew from trying to figure out an old head gasket I have, I got a million random images of a thing with (usually) four holes in it.

Just for fun measure up the threaded post to see if it's metric or inch threads.
