This next part is strictly traditional but
When I got these doors they had no inner skin just wood. I'm really happy with the result ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1421530707.590062.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1421530736.039949.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1421530762.257259.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1421530789.509837.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1421530829.243451.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1421530860.172229.jpg

I really like the application. It may not be too traditional but it has to be very functional and safe. I think you used your head.

I would say that making what you have- work, is the definition of traditional ! incredible work man, can't wait to see it done.

  10. Interesting-
Do you have a pic of 29 Chrysler pickup? I don't think I've seen one.

wouldnt it have been easier and cleaner to build a tubing structure to match the wood leftovers and use that as a door inner?

Some of the wood was missing
As for easy that was quick and easy
But I've still got along way to go
I have to bridge between the new and the old yet but I will post pics as I go

As promised a few progress shots
First one is of the screen top
I cut out the curved piece which was fucked and replaced it with some square , I think it give it a mean stance

Second is the door top which is made from a
61 falcon door top still some finishing to do
    But I like it

Amazing what you've done so far!
You mentioned that the '29 Chrysler pickup didn't have any doors, but where did the ones you're using come from? I thought they might be Plymouth or Dodge but that's just a guess.

  19. I'm really enjoying this build, simply incredible, very good fabrication, impressive!!

  22. Hi Justin:

I'm located in Minnesota, got my avatar on the road late in 2014, 2015 was my first full year, 7,303 miles. Your metal work is simply amazing, if we were neighbors, I'd be over there daily, just watching, and of course bringing the beer!
