    I was just doing a little investigation into the Super Snoopy and Clay Lacy. He was quite the aviator. He raced the DC-7 in a 1000 mile race that included mostly vintage fighters like Corsairs and Mustangs. This the first time that a plane like his raced in a pylon race.

    Garlits in leaner days...when Hot Rod Magazine covered a Florida meet where he ran, he hoped that a picture of this car would appear in HRM...he later found out that the HRM staff tacked it to a bulletin board to laugh at....bet that changed after November '57...
