Hi guys and girls I have been following the HAMB for quite a while now , I am from Durban in South Africa and I run an as agency as well as shoot cars - www.dylantog.com I am currently rebuilding a 1946 ford pickup it has matching numbers I have just found out , but in saying this the engine is a 49 flathead 239 from what I can see , but it's a 46 body ? welcome from london, i have a 37 chevy coupe that i imported via a south african guy about a year ago that came from ficksburg, you still have some good tin out there,nice truck ! kev
Welcome from The U.S. of A. I see 8RT stamping on the cyl head, that's 1949 or later truck. Should make good runner if you get her going. Good Luck
Thanks so much guys , I have done some more research as well as having some great experience stripping the motor and truck , so it's a 49 I have the chassis and engine/bell housing number - would anybody be able to help me with the identification of these numbers , the truck is a 47 body ... ho Guys I am desperately looking for the instrument cluster this truck came with and with our exchange rate a cheaper one at that ... Anybody have one lying around they can sell for cheap ?
