Don't use the speedway drums if you wanna go freeway speeds. Mine were way out of balance, I could spin them and see it. Go with the mt products drums. There basically the same but machined on the outside to make them round and thus better balanced.

My son bought a pair of big box parts store front drums for a Chevelle and had the same problem. Exchanged them for a 2nd pair that was even worse. I put the 2nd pair in a lathe and took just enough of a cut on the OD to clean up all the way around and they were fine.

I wish I had that technology. For the 9 inch drums I bought ones with weights welded on.

Usually with Speedway.....if they do not state made in USA....they aren't.
    Mac's state USA made.
I would still ask and make note of who you talked to with time and date so if they in fact turn out not to be......you get to return them on their dime.
Not sure if they are still printing Made in USA on the box and that's the only thing Made in USA is the box?

  6. Does anyone sell USA made drums for early fords?

  7. Thats what I thought as well....off shore.

I know the Speedway drums are offshore. They had just came out with them when I worked there, so I don't know if there are problems with them or not

  9. MT products which is what I will probably end up with.

MT Products are great and there's also Wilson Welding. I haven't talked to Bob Wilson in a while but have purchased many brake parts from him. American made.
