Decided to start a build thread, To help keep track of Progress. Picked this up the other week and it finally got dropped off today. So the Build Starts.
Car's a 50 Pontiac Fleetleader(Canadian build) Special. Came as a roller with a 72 Camaro front clip(Hacked) and a fleetwood rear diff. New front floor pans from some 80's gm car welded in and New repo 1/4's. new rockers. Over all there isn't any rust now besides a tiny spot on the lower rear tail pan and thats it.

Got bored and ordered everything Chassis Wise. I'll update with pics next weekend when the body comes off the chassis and we start the front clip fix.

This one looks like it's gonna be good. I hope it's as solid as it looks.

Nice project. Same G.M. "A" body. Also used by the '49-'51 Oldsmobile 88.

Its really Solid. New rear quarters and front floors. Only spot of rust is on the lower edge of the tail pan.

Depends on what steering wheel you run. Big wheel = nice manual steering. I drove my '53 Chevy with a 15-inch steering wheel and F-78 tires with no power steering pump hooked up to the rack and it was okay but pulling around the driveway got a lot nicer once the power steering was hooked up. I like driving with one hand.

Yeah I'll probably End up with Power, Since my motor has the pump already and Ive got an older Woodgrain Wheel I'd like to toss on.

So Ive been going back on forth about what to run for Wheels, I wanted 14" Supreme style wheels but Finding a decent size tire isn't happening. Also Might not clear the Brakes I have. So I decided to look at 15" wheels. Debating still between Supremes or Eliminators

All Ozzie GM cars around this period were complete knocked down (CKD) from Canada and assembled here. They're Chevy bodies with Pontiac sheet metal.
    Should be an interesting project.

My Crossmember and 4Link showed up yesterday so I had my buddy weld it up, He's a Welder by trade so alot quicker and nicer welds then me lol. Ran out of wire so we could only tac the top hats. Did the bars with Stick.[IMG]

Must say the Welder series Mustang 2 front and 4Link is top notch quality. Price is great too. Im surprised at how low the crossmber is and should tuck up nice.

Got all My Air Management stuff from Suicidedoors. They Shorted me my tank though as I have no idea where it is or if it was shipped. Got all my Brakes and Tubular arms as well. I'll post updates Wednesday after I work on it more.
