Another great drag strip Oswego and seeing an old photo of Gordon Collett is really cool.

The guy that raced it is Joe Amman , lives coupe streets over I will check as I know he told me the name of the car once

 

tommyd, were did you come across the picture of that 33 Willys? That is Ohio Georges 33 gasser after John Amacher sold it. I believe that is a four cylinder chevy in that car at that time. As many of you know that Willy's was bought back by the Montgomery
family and restored by to AA/GS livery with the big Ford cammer and is on loan to the Henry Ford museum in Detroit. John Amacher bought the Willy's from George and ran in C/G with an injected SBC. I was a wrench and crew member for John.

Tom Akers 41 Willys from Marked Tree, Ark. at the old Lakeland International in Memphis, Tenn.
had a injected small block Chev with 4 speed this is early 70s

Tom Akers Bantam from Marked Tree, Ark. This car was built and raced by Ken Conrad, West Memphis, Ark prior to Tom owning it. Ken always ran blown engines. Tom next raced T/AFC
then went to a fuel F/C. This is the late 70s

 

Steve Wallin from Wynne, Ark. started racing this 34 Chev in 1962, Steve has since passed. His son still owns and races this injected car. I think this picture is at the Carlise track in central Ark.

 

Johnny Steele from Monnette, Ark. owned this injected Corvette. Bob Warlo from Little Rock, Ark. sometimes drove this car. This picture is at the Newport, Ark. track.

 

Pike and Son S/S Mopars from Caraway, Ark. Eddie did the driving ,That is him on the right.
Eddie was a small person, he told me he had to sit on a pillow to drive. Eddie was a well respected driver

 

Jerry Hall from Jonesboro, Ark. built and ran this Altered Wheel Base Plymouth with a Injected 426 Hemi for the "CARS FOR KIDS" program based in Tenn. This is about 2005. Jerry has been drag racing since the early 60s

 

It was posted on facebook by Jason Malmsten. He shares a lot of Gasser pics.

 

I believe you are in right it is the Napp Brothers from Englishtown Raceway.
This is what started the whole NHRA Junior drag racing deal years ago.
