    Jim..
My sincere condolences on your family's loss. We all bear such tragedy in our own way. Faith and family will help, but the pain and emptiness we bear alone and put to rest ourselves. Whatever works, pursue. All the best,
    Bill

Thanks for all of the kind words. As for the willys, any thought on a color? I'm thinking bright and loud.

I'm a member of the same club. It's never very cheerful this time of year.

Wow sorry to hear that. Can't imagine going through that.
You planning to keep the car? If so what was your sons favorite color?

  8. It's the Church where you can have a beer... play loud music... and weld all at the same time!

For your color choices... two Sixties favorites come to mind that can be decided with a flip of the coin... "Tangerine Orange Firemist"... or "Lemon Twist Yellow"!

But since you already have colors similar to these you'll need to experiment with "Limefire Green" or "Candy Apple Red"

Jim so glad to see you back on here and so very sad about your loss. It took my breath away just reading that. The holidays are a very hard time for people who have lost loved one's. Keep your chin up and keep working on that Willys. Our best thoughts are with you.

  12. Sorry to hear any of this. I feel terrible that someone whom I have enjoyed so much, has to bear this much of a weight. I can't comprehend the mass of it, and it's horrible that anyone does.

Good luck with everything. I don't really care about the car anymore. Guy banging hammers is pretty awesome. I know that for sure. If it makes you happy....I would love to see whatever you do with it. God bless man.

    He loved black and dark
Navy blue. He was a 27-34 ford fan.

Damn man! There are no words. Jim, anything you share always gives the rest of us miscreants something to aim for!
It is great to hear you are here, and I'm so sorry to hear of your loss.
Colors? Was thinking of a wild green (Lime?) since you've got Orange and Yellow covered.

Jim, condolences on your tragic loss. This is the time of year to reaffirm our faith. Sound like you are doing the best you can. Keep it up!! Color........SWC Blue, Mazmanian Red. A friend just mixed a new Jeep candy red and a BMW tri coat red with a lot of pearl, 50-50. That made it a basecoat, clearcoat. Stunning color and easy to match.

  24. Welp, I've always wanted to do a hotrod in that old late 60s-early 70s MoPar lime green. Chrome look great against it.

    Jim,
When I was teaching the 'Pass out' game was a fad. At first, they just held their own necks and would naturally let go when they passed out. Then it escalated to others doing the holding. When I found out about this 'game', I came unglued. I don't think any of my students ever did that again! I thought this was over. Somehow, I always feel a little responsible when something like this happens to a young person. My heart goes out to you.
BTW I sure am impressed with your Willys.

    Jim,
I spoke with Roscoe who was involved with building this car and he told me the color was 1956 Olds .... maybe something that would strike your fancy?
