Technical 51-52 Olds

    Like to see picture's of custom front ends on early 50's Olds.

    I think you have no replies because your thread is listed as "technical." Maybe start another thread, and this time classify it as "art & inspiration" and give it a title like '49-54 Olds custom front end photo request" so everyone knows what you're looking for.
    I'd like to see some, too!

    ^^^^^^^good idea. Also, as I recall, Olds front end parts were more often used to customize other makes, but Oldsmobiles themselves didn't get changed as often, as they were already very cool looking in original configuration.

    I think this was early 49-50 Dealer installed clear hood to showcase the new OHV V8? No idea if it would fit later 51-52 Olds

    Olds sheet metal, ahead of the firewall, is the same for '49 thru '51 models 76 and 88 and was the last of the GM "A" body based Oldsmobiles in that era.
    1951/'52 Super 88 is alike and is GM "B" body based.

    1948/'49 98 series is the same, but 1950/'52 98 is totally different and looks similar to Super 88, but is dimensionally different as the 98 Series were based on GM "C" body.
