How hard would it be???

How hard would it be to create a "staging " area to create posts prior to publishing?
I have a technical post that is going to take a lot of time to create and I would like to work on it, as I go, as to avoid cluttering up the main board until it is ready. I realize it sounds easy for a non-computer guy, so I am just wondering.

I haven't tried it with the new format, but it used to work well, and probably still does

Get your post together on a word document. When you are finished just copy and paste it into a post.

 

I thought about that.....
The only reason I was asking was because on my blog I have that feature and I can work on it wherever I am. If I am on the road, it stays on the server and I can access it from any computer.
