- BBC alcohol injected 28 ford altered roadster, NE-1 blowen/injected BBC 200" FM dragster, NE-2 injected BBC FM dragster, 65 Vet BBC D/G coupe, 1929 Ford Roadster Pickup hot rod.
I have been in love with old cars and hot rods sense I was in high school (1960-63) and had a lot of rides over the years. Some that I enjoyed, 1928 Ford Roadster, 3 Woody Wagons (48, 49 Chevy, 48 Ford), 440 Dodge RT, 56 Chevy Nomad.
Wish I had those Woody today, it would fatten my retirement account.
In 1975 I started drag racing and have been doing it for the past 45+ years, always at the sportsman level just for the fun and the chance to meet some fine people. Both my wife and myself have run our cars over the years. I am 70 years old and have only ran front motor dragsters or altereds all the time. I love the old school type cars with the motor in front.
We live in Bakersfield, CA for 7 years, about 30 min from Famosa drag strip home of the annual "March Meet" and the NHRA Hot Rod Reunion. Its a great place for a old hot rodder to live. Have moved back out to the coast Camarillo, CA ( much cooler). Stopped drag racing after I had a stroke in 2015.
Been retired for 20 years and last year I picked up a basket case 1929 Ford Roadster Pickup and got it on the road in March 2011. Old guys got to have a project to stay in the game.Interact
