I am an old rodder from the 50's at which time i ran a 48 dodge, with a full house 57 dodge engine, 3/4 race cam, 2-4's. lasalle trans, wire wheels, and all the goodies. We ran g-gas and turned in the high 90's in the quarter. The first car I ordered after graduation was a new 65 GTO, 389-3 duce, 4 speed, console with rally guages, rally exhaust, positive traction, oh if i had only kept this one. Then came marriage, kids and a working career until about 15 years ago when i bought my first 51 mercury to now when i just bought the 50 mercury.
