    can anybody I.D. these 50's fenderskirts???


    we think they are 56 ford,but not for sure.. [​IMG]

    They look like aftermarket '55/'56 Mercury skirts. The wheel opening looks right, but the flare makes them look like a custom item and not OEM. Also, the orignal '55/'56 skirts had a swing arm tensioning rod to hold them on the wheel opening.

    Don't know for what make, but the flare denotes them as being produced by the Foxcraft company-makers of fine fender skirts from the 40's to the late 60's. don't know what happened to them now.

    cool,thanks! so defintley aftermarket and merc or maybe ford.

    these are for sale by the way.. in case anyones interested.
    50 bux to a Hamber + shipping, they arent as bad as they look.no rust through.

    to add to the pot. they do look a good bit like the skirts i have for my '55 plymouth to. very close in fact. don't have a pic, or camera and they are at my shop 7 miles away so no way to compare. i do think whatever thay fit they are most likely foxcraft...ken....

    wouldnt it be cool though,if Boyd actually did get a Von Dutch rat rod tattoo of that super low chopped A that starts fights.i think that would kick ass!!!!

    mabye one of our HAMB artists can illustrate that for us?
