Just wnated to say thank you to Jim for helping me "Z" my Model A Fame. we went 7 inches in the front and 14 inches in the rear....
Looks nice. The mitered joints are the way to go. Running coil overs in the back? 4 bar? What brand vacumn is that?
Im going to run triangulated 4 bar and coil overs...I have a 5 inch drop axel in front but the spring is to long...
Eric is a Bissell, if my wife saw that she would puke, god she complained about our bissell forever so I bought her a Eureka. Now the house is clean daily!! Back on topic, frame looks killer man, definately going to sit low
Wierd! Half the other threads with a frame "Z'd" to that extreme is considered "non-HAMB-Friendly" and spoken of as a Rat Rod and derogatory and stuff. This one gets praise. There is no consistency here. BTW, the frame work looks good and it is gonna be one low bitch! Cool!
The bissell keeps going and going, I have vacumed up all kinds of stuff with it..built strong...lol. The wife got tired of me using the house vacume for the garage so she just gave the bissell to me.. BTW building a hot rod in a two car garage gets cramped...
Just wondering...have you figured out where the upper bars are going to connect? I've done a few and that always decides where the Z is.. Todd-a , I think the difference is when something is well built it no longer falls under the "RR" title. And I rock a Eureka, blue metallic, racing cam sticker and Kropduster decal !
And I rock a Eureka, blue metallic, racing cam sticker and Kropduster decal ![/QUOTE] bitchen vac vaphead!! whatcha running for big n littles? maybe we could start a shop-vac thread!!!!
'Cause they are building cars that look they way THEY want them to look. Don't be the style police. You don't like it when other people tell you what to do, do you? Just finished a pinched A frame, kicked op 6" in the front, 16" in the back.
Because he wants it that way,,, "Not your way, or anyone elses way"! That's what it is all about, to personalize......
So is this thread about vacuums?? just kidding ;-) Looks cool so far, so what are putting on this z'd frame??
looks good..it will be sitting low i z'ed mine 20 in the rear and 15 up front but i ran 34 inch tires in the back and 30s up front
Always have to have someone tearing down, somebody else's project. Looks awesome guys, keep up the good work.
man the truck you built was bad ass...di could not tell did you Z the frame or did you channel the body...My 1937 ford had so much room in it.
I hope there was a table and some sort of jig involved. Jack stands dont keep it straight while youre welding it together.
