Thanks for posting the video, more inspiration for my own Bonneville project.

 

Very cool. I remember when I was in high school there was a record album out called the "Sounds of Bonneville" (or something like that ) which had Thompsons record run on it.

 

Nothing beats the sound of a big cube american V8 at speed...except 4 of them together!!!

 

Also, I love the voice over on these old videos. The announcer sounds like he is both proud and excited to be reporting on such a feat. Today you would have some sort of soundtrack playing in the background or the announcer would sound like he is reading from a newsroom script.

 

yeah...and I got some of "his" tyres ;-)
