I hope the weather casters around Joplin can do a better job than the ones around Mid Missouri. They can't tell you what it's doing even if they open the door and look outside. I think the best way to get a weather forcast a week away is to throw a dart at a weather dart board. Missouri weather changes at a seconds notice. Hot or cold, wet or dry I'm there!!
Anyone from the Midwest knows...Mother Nature does what the hell she wants no matter what the weatherman says. But, the good thing is...she loves us. Might be a little hot, but other than that, don't worry. -Abone.
Man 87 when it has been average in the high 90's to 100's I btter pack a jacket too like Buzz said, gonna be great
Weather update for Saturday: Saturday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a high near 87. Yeah- looks like you Texas boys will get to wear your ski parkas....
If we would start earlier, there would be less chance it would be rained-out. In southwest Missouri and southeast Kansas the chances of rain are more likely in the evening. I don't understand the reasoning behind not starting until you've wasted half a day's daylight. It just doesn't make sense logistically. We could race all day and party all night, or Fuck off all day and pack up your shit in the rain and go home. Is this a drag race or a party? There's no reason why we couldn't do both.
I was looking at the MO weather almanac and the hottest time of the year on average is the weekend of the drags. Year one is when they set a record.
it should stop raining thursday once i have the tent set up... i'll be rolling in from 24 straight on the road, so you probably won't see me til firday morning. i'll be dead until then. most call it sleeping, but this time i think i might actually be dead for 8 hours or so.
