  3. Calif. has a headlight law about how wide they should be. I don't know what it is, but I do know that the narrow eye Baja kit is illegal. Dean

    [/ QUOTE ] There is a headlight distance apart law in CA. I can't remember what the spec is. Those "Narrow-Eye" Baja Bugs are not legal. That's why the "Wide-Eye" Baja kits came out. I think that your rod would be grandfathered in as long as it register as a pre-'49

    The width law wouldn't matter. They'd get you on the lower than the 22" law if they cared.
    I think the coss eyed look is because they aren't aimed, they ARE cross eyed!
    I'd move them forward an inch or so and bolt them down. There's a couple of holes there to use on a stock frame anyway.
