The "traditional" Santa is wearing Coca-cola corporate red and white. Coke needed a way to sell product during the winter in the late-20's. He was drawn by a dude with the unlikely name of Haddon Sundblom (maybe he knew Thurl Ravenscroft), and the model was Lou Prentice.

When I taught advertising at college I told a class that if they wanted to visit Santa he was buried in Michigan. One of the girls (this was 2nd year college) burst into tears.

I always liked Perry Como's version of "There's no place like home for the Holidays"....

Some ask what this has to do with Hot Rods? I say lighten up its Christmas.
