I'm really blessed and most days I get to spend the day at my friends shop with three to five other mid 60s gearheads working on eachothers rides.

At the time, I thought there was no possible way that I could ever use all the space. 6 months later I could hardly get around inside of it because of how much junk was in it.

A lot of times I looks at these other pictures about how much cool shit is in everybody's garage. I sit and lust over some of the stuff they have. But then somewhere along the line, I come to the conclusion that burrowing myself into all of that stuff would kind of suck and that I'd hate to have to mess with moving it all if I ever decided to move. The shelf stuffing knick-knacks of all kinds kills me. It's like trophys for some people or something. For me if I'm not using it, I don't need it and the $ could be better used paying the mortgage or elsewhere. I just can't get on that same wavelength as those that like to hord stuff just to have it without using it. Maybe I'm messed up. I don't understand "collections" either. I'd like to get rid of more stuff if I could, it always feels like an albatross to me.

It's just funny the different personalities and ways that people rationalize in both (and complete opposite) directions. Interesting look into the mind in some cases. Definitely fun to see what is out there.... kind of like voyeurism.

Not necesarily. There are a lot of people that have been dedicated to junk their whole lives and picked up bargains when they were dirt cheap.

After you build a garage, paint the inside WHITE. Helps on the lighting.

Just picked that up from a fellow HAMBer in Michigan. It's going to be lime-gold metalflake with a full wrap white interior and Chris-Craft inspired mahogany floorboards and bed.

Whoa what an incredible space! I'm guessing that you're somewhere in the 3rd ward judging by the beams and cream city brick?
