Well, I've been sorta thumbing through my well-worn oldies and finally settled on one: the August 1964 "Coupes and Sedans" issue of Car Craft. Mainly for the pair of Deuces on the lower left of the cover... if I were ever to build a 3-window or a tudor sedan I'd want them to turn out like either of those two! And then there was a profile article on Bob Hegge, a guy who I thought pretty much had the dream job of travelling around the country photographing rods and customs... And there was a Bud Lang how-to article on the basics of welding... and custom painting... I could go on. This decision may be subject to change, probably the next time I read this thread!
