Wish I had a copy of it, but I'm partial to the early edition of the '57 Chevy book pages that had the 150 showing the side trim simply missing the Belair "hump" and insert. Dad saved all the copies when the dealership he worked for (Kirsch in Bala Cynwyd, PA) threw them away .
There's a guy back home in PA that is a GM paper guru that showed me a couple copies of the competition guide
I have the competition guide shown above--have had it for at least 35 yrs-keep it with my Fuely stuff
Does anybody remember a dealer comparison between the '57 Chevy and the '57 Ford that was hanging in the Ford dealerships when they came out? It showed the "large safe tail lights on the Ford' versus the "small unsafe taillight on the Chevy" or the "single hood ornament on the Ford that makes you think you're driving the car instead of aiming it like on the Chevy". It really bad rapped the Chevy and touted the great things about the Ford. I'd love to see that ad again if anybody knows about it.
Just had a look at my GM dealer collection relating to my 46 Oldsmobile. Way too many to pick any one in particular not accounting for all the additional service and workshop documentation. I didn't realise that I had so many, many are quite rare these days. I just bought them one at a time when they became available over the years. Even a large NOS 1945 GM accounting ledger with all the procedures. Here's a sample, that orange folder, Ready Set Go and poster are ones I just stumbled upon. They all contain a plethora of information for dealers
this isn't a brochure, but the dealer showroom book for 1949. it has all sorts of neat stuff inside showing options, colors, cutaway drawings etc.....
