Had a 52 many years ago. Mine was bone stock and a lot of fun. Our kids loved to ride in it. They would bounce around in the back seat and we would all sing "Thunder Road".
Diggin the gasser. Did you replace the front of the frame or stock.?Where did you get all the front suspension parts from?
Both have already been posted, but in my opinion, these are the 2 best that have been built (at least recently). And both seem to have vanished. Im not in the right part of the U.S. to hear rumors of what happened to them or know people that might know where they landed (though i think I've heard the valencia chevy went overseas). But dammit it'd be nice to see them pop up again. Im tired of looking at the same pictures.
A factory custom that we love. This is at Bonneville I think 2010, we sold the teardrop shortly after to Hollywood and it was used in the movie The Runaways.
stock rails speedway kit mock up complete going to pull apart to detail this week and put it back together
I like the unique mounting of the Kaiser taillights and the Plymouth grille bar. I'm surprised those Plymouth bars aren't more popular, every other "tooth" grille seems to be a hot item, but the Plymouth ones are overlooked. Looks great in that car.
Speaking of the Plymouth grille, Spence Murray's Chevy was one of the first the "newly" styled Chevys fully customized. (Rounded hood corners had not yet caught on.) Dig those krazy pipes!
I'd love to see some pics with the scallops. The photo's are quite dated, judging from the cars in the background. Late 50's, early 6o's? How about some history. That car has some classic styling cues that a lot of the iconic contemporary fleetlines use. Vaughn's comes to mind immediately! That is a stock grill bar you used for the 54 teeth, isn't it? Does it take a lot of fitting? Awesome piece of history!
Yes. South Juanita just south of Torrance Blvd. I still need to stop by your shop next time I go there. Bill
Man, that is great looking car! I have always loved it and have saved every picture I have seen on it as inspiration for my own Fleetline. Unfortunately, my Fleetline is gone, but the pics of yours remain.
