I had put this on the 33-34 Ford coupe thread a few years ago but can't find the thread now, anyway I built a 34 Ford coupe for my cousin Richie Balsamo from Ronkonkoma LI NY around 1979 we were both in the Vintage Tin LI car club. It was a 34 Ford 5W coupe with a SBC and a turbo 350 it had a 8" Mustang rear with 4 link and coil springs in the rear. Up front was a forged tube front axle with 4 link bars and a Mustang box. It was all steel and full fendered. Painted a dark blue and had a filled roof. A grey interior. The firewall was a welded in flat firewall that followed the contour of the cowl from top to bottom. It had polished American 200 S wheels. Mustang 4 piston calipers up front and drums on the rear PB and master mounted on the firewall.

Rich sold the car around 1983-84 and moved to Florida he died about 15 years ago and no one in the family can remember where the car went. I recently got one picture from his sister that I will post. I would like to see what has become of the car so with a HAMB chance, I am putting this out there.

    Thanks Pat

I agree... when I think of '34s, I immediately think of the Mooneyham 554 Fuel Coupe ;) I was fortunate enough to see that baby run at Lion's, back in the day! Here are a couple of pics of my buddy, Leon's... my favorite, local '34 :)

  3. I have to agree. Every time I see this picture posted I think this could be the car I would want if I was only allowed one car forever more.

Cal's Hot Rod is unbelievable in person. It is spectacular when it is going down the road and just screams hot rod.

My favorite. Pulled it out of storage. Ran the motor today first time. Will be on the road this summer.

Got some pictures of my cousins 34 Ford coupe from a friend in Fla. It was dark blue at the time circa 1980 I think he sold it around 1985 give or take . Hopefully someone will recognize it.

    Thanks, Pat

This is a fellow HAMBers hemi-powered car. I've always loved his 34. Feels like it has a soul, almost.

Also this one just absolutely rules. Can't imagine not grinning when driving this:

This is the one that cruised the streets of Irving, Texas and turned what I read about on the Little Pages into a life-long love affair with old cars. If it's not, close enough. Bruce Barton would have loved it. IMGP6247.JPG

Love the 34's they do look strange without a hood though.....

32's are an ugly duckling in comparison.
