  3. Cliff Kotary (The copper city cowboy) won the New York State Fair (One Mile Dirt oval) race 6 consecutive times 1960-1966 with this 33 Ford.
    This is the 1963 win.

My old '34 that I had to let go about ten years ago and regretted it every second after. 168-6814_IMG.JPG img125.jpg 168-6823_IMG.JPG I finally got another one (my avatar) and will be doing a rebuild thread on it soon.

Favorite 34 ?? There are no favorites when it comes to 34's (and/or 33's for that matter) IMHO anyway. Although my own car is about a point head of all others, but having written that I acknowledge that there are way nicer cars than mine. Can not post it here though, it is not close enough to traditional.

Had an incident backing it into its resting place yesterday and I am wondering if this has happened to others. I consider it quite unusual. Backing up the drive there was a loud "snap" from under that beautiful dash. Motor dies and it won't turn over a lick. "Fuse" I say to myself. All lights work, gauges work, wipers everything is working except the fuel pump I notice. Try again and now it turns over but there is no fire. Ok, just for s & g's I do go through all the fuses, they're all good including the fuel fuse. I call my guy who wired it, says he'll stop in on his way home which is on the next street over. Jim pulls in in is '56 vette, he and another neighbor help push it "up" my gravel drive into the garage, (never knew a 3 window hi-boy could be so damned hard to push. Jim goes through the fuses for a second time. All good. Works his way through the Speedway harness he modified, no luck seeing the trouble, so off comes the fuse block that I installed over a year ago. Looking around through all that spaghetti Jim spots what looks like a small burned spot. Finds a pink wire that could be the culprit and further searching finds that the lower buss is burned right in half out just before the last fuse which is the fuel pump. Mystery solved. Make a jump wire, tie the bar together, walla, fuel pump works, engine fires and all is well. This of course took the better part of an hour an a half. Jims going to repair the buss, figure why this happened at all and fuse the culprit wire and make it as happy as the rest. Other than my brother who said last night the same thing happened to him on is '31 "A" bone P/U way back when Moses was a private, I've not heard of this happening inside the box itself. So burning a buss into in the fuse box ever bug anyone here?
Now to put it all back together and ride away and be yelling HI HO 34...…..Away.

I can tell ya also what makes me puke about a 34. That is when some guy mounts a 32 grill on one. That just ruins the whole car. That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.

May have already been posted on here, but I've always loved the Bell Axle Super Coupe

For me it has to be Bob Gaspenec's Roadster. The first time I saw it was in 1967 parked by Willy's Dyno Shop in Blue Island, IL.It left an impression on me that has not left me to this day, absolute perfection! Scan_0082.jpg

I have posted back a few pages a pic that really, really sucks so I refined mine into this and will post it again anywat. This thread proves there is nothing as cool as the 34 Ford except of course the '33
    .
It ain't as purddy as some posted here, maybe not as wild or as famous as others but I rebuilt it from a basket case, ( or casket case), from another famous 50's-60's 34, doing something I never thought I could do . Its mine, I did it (with some help from a great friend), and i just think it is so, so cool and of all that are on this thread it IS my favorite because its mine, but only by the tiniest of percentages.
