  4. Oh, man, Kansas City has A TON of old buildings - especially in the West Bottoms - where some "vintage" photo ops can take place! Nice job!

A cool ol' 'Vette in front of an auto parts place - doesn't get much more traditional than that!

    Cool photos in this thread.
This wasn't taken IN my town but close - around 10 miles north along Big Stone Lake on the MN/SD border. It's my beater '64 Chevy II, complete with the traditional primer spots. :D

Here's a picture of my 1936 Ford convertible sedan along side another 1936 Ford convertible sedan belonging to Chuck Cake who was visiting family in the town in 2006.

A little better picture with Chuck on the left and ol' Hamtown on the right with our respective cars.
Realize that you are looking at TWO of only 198 1936 Ford convertible sedans remaining in the entire world!

Today his car is still in Northern VA but mine has moved to Ohio. His had a Columbia rear end. I might have kept mine if it had one. The present caretaker of my old Ford is taking good care of it and is actually driving it once in a while which is music to my ears!

IMG_0489.JPG Found a picture of my present 1936 Ford convertible sedan, that is powered by a 302 Ford, with some other club members' cars at the annual Olden Days celebration downtown in late June of 2013.
I love living in this small town!

This was a pic from the first year we got the car. At a local drive in. Interestingly enough the flames are gone now that we stripped the car and repainted it and Martin's Drive In has been torn down to put up another damn gas station/convenience store. We are looking for a painter to reapply the flames but the burger joint is gone forever, family owned and operated for many years.

Picture of Martin's Drive-In is Rochester, NH. And you are right, Thunderplex, time is fleeting by. I will be 73 next month and married 50 years in July. Seems as if it was just yesterday I was a young sailor who eloped with a gal who just turned 18. We had only known each other two weeks. Everyone said it wouldn't last but we damn well fooled them!
