Your car on the front of a magazine

My Dad's 55 Chevy was on the Cover of Custom Rodder nov 1962 issue.

My previous car 39 Deluxe Ford Coupe was on the cover of Street Scene Magazine after the 85 or 86 Street Rod Nationals in St Paul, MN. It was with a bunch of us from Nebraska that were all parked together. I did not save the magazine, and still regret that. Myh current car was pictured inside of Rod and Custom Magazine in a feature article about the NSRA Mid America Nationals in Springfield, MO a ciuple of years ago. This time I did save a copy of that issue

 

Yeah, I couldn't believe it either. Had to drive this miserable little turd all the way from Michigan to sunny California to get on. ( Power Tour '01) Actually fooled many people that thought it was an old barn find. This was before the advent of the rat rod. ( funny. I never thought of it as that) Gotta thank Frieburger for following me and taking all the pictures. Thanx for the memories guys........... Norm

 

This has to be the big winner......So kool to have your grandfather & his car on the front of Hot Rod. It just will never get any better than that.
I like that you still have the car also.

I had my OT Corvette on the cover of Vette magazine in Oct 2010.

Here's my wife's car on the Cover of Rod & Custom Magazine March 2007 Issue (1964 Galaxie) with I think a 4 page feature article / spread right smack in the center of the magazine.

2 different cars. '79 & 94' plus some other hype.....

 

In 82 Bud lang did a thing on my rpu at the nats in Minneapois. I was excited. Was supposed to be out 4-6 months later. He quit Rod Action and all i have is some 8 mill film of the shoot. Waaaaa.
My motorcycle made a cover thou if that counts. 2 pages in The Horse to. That was cool.

Off topic car for this board - but everything you see was made by me. The next one - a lakes roadster - will be a better fit for the HAMB!

 

Wow, the vintage mag covers are amazing!!! How cool to have a tie to those old mags!

My truck made the #38 issue of Car Kulture Deluxe.

 

Not mine, but i got to build the Merc and the 32 pickup in the back ground..The other one is a Trike my pop built back in August of 71. 41 years to the month later, the Merc I built appeared on Rod & Custom...I thought that was pretty cool..

All my personal cars would never have a chance for a cover... they all look like shit...

 

My O/T 1966 Dodge Coronet 500 was on the cover of the October 1985 Car Craft magazine, with three other cars and one truck. The pic was taken at the CC Street Machine Nats in St Louis, MO, at the old Gateway Dragstrip. If I can get it to upload, I'll post it.

My old 50 Chevy pickup made the top right hand corner of everyone's favorite magazine, Ol Skool Rodz.

Then there was this one about 15 years ago.

 

Not mine but my Deceased Uncle Bill Summer's Goldenrod has been feature a bunch of times on covers and books and merchandise I don't have any photos on hand but I know they exist, packed in a crate in the garage somewhere. I do have a few with mentions on the covers though.
