Well, I’m new to the H.A.M.B., and the traditional hot rod scene. I bought a ‘34 ford pickup from a friend down the road. Watch me put it together to hopefully make a neat little hot rod. The plans so far is a 283 sbc, mated to the original tranny, and the original rear end. Full fendered, and unchopped [IMG]

Well, I’m pretty new to the forum too, but it looks like a very fine project- one thing is certain, this is the place to find any help you need. Best of luck-!

Do you live in Missery? I saw some pics a month ago of a pickup that looks just like that.

    That's a peach!
Sounds like your build plan is dead-on HAMB material.

You have a great start. My 34 pickup is in many pieces, but solid. You have a good plan also. The 283 is a good motor.

Nice truck and great plans for it. Go practice your double clutching so you can keep that trans alive.

So jealous. I want an early pickup so bad---would really like an A. But time, money and space preclude me from going after one.

Great project, hope to see more as you go.

Nice patina, It reminds me of another blue one on here somewhere that was an old 50s or 60s hot rod.

Very nice start. I had a ‘32 ford pick up with a 283 in it and it drove great! Good luck with your build.
