I'm rooting for you! And I too, am in the same boat. Grits is way ahead of us!
UUh no I won't be quiting that anytime soon!!!
Hey Chad! We need DAILY progress reports!!!
Keep the floorboards open, and FLINSTONE it, Barney!
I'm with toast, daily or bi-daily progress reports. Should make a list of what needs to be done to drive it. Post the list and check the items off as you finish things, that'd be fun b/c we could see how things are going.
Just remember that "temporary" things become "permanent" things, for some reason in hot rods this happens a lot, so finish it the way you really want.
Deadlines lead to disappointment and half-assed work.
That being said,.... thrash away and get anyone you can to come help. We have a bad habit around here of waiting till the last minute to do what needs to be done. More than one all nighter-fighter has been pulled to get a car rolling under its own steam.
The only thing that really ever has slowed us down is running out of money.
BTW I love T coupes and that one looks like a pretty good project.
Well this is where I stand right now and I'm going to drive this thing to LSR dammit!
Good luck!!! With that said, when you make it in your coupe and I make it in my truck then I'll buy you a beer.
P.S. Bring some of those awesome iPhone 4 covers with you to LSR and I'll buy one!
X2, but not just in hot rods!
Well, I'm making sure I'm doing it right... nothing I've done yet has been temporary. I'm building it like I'd expect from a rod shop.
Here's some more updates... don't look like much, but I had to get back on the garnish moldings and redrill a bunch of holes, there are 11 screws per garnish molding and I only had about 4 in each on the other pics. So I finished them and put a piece of 1/2" mdf near the firewall for the fuse box and other electronics!
Made the mount that goes under the dash...
Fuse panel mount...
Looking good! Remember we need these updates Daily
Ok.. that's todays, and I'll have one tomorrow too!!
Got my toe boards made and my heater mounted...
If u need help, I can hold ur beer bro! I won't drink it.......that much!
It will be towing a chase trailer
Sure ya can make it man. They have it every year.
Looks real good.
In case I break down?
Quarter assed...for when half assed takes too long. Good luck.
Got a couple things mounted...
The old dash and wheel don't look half bad!!
Well, if ya do get it done (Im rootin for ya also) ya sure cant say,
"They all said it couldnt be done"
Man, you're moving along at a good clip, wish I were closer, I'd be there to help out, keep it up man you still have time.
83 Days Left. You've got this. Just keep pluggin.
Looks great so far, very nice craftsmanship.
Take your time and do it right, if you don't finish your car by round up come with out it. It's a fun time either way, I say you can bust your ass and get it done though. I had 3months before my car had to debut at my wedding and the only way I made it was with alot of great friends and many late night in the garage.
Thanks Fellas... i figure if I put in a few hours a night it'll be donzo! I'm really stoked and can actually see the light at the end of the tunnel!!
I hear ya Grits, I'd be over helping you too!!
I'm not cuttin any corners Sam, I want it right the first time!!
Plan your work and work your plan... Love to see you and your ride at LSR... Keep the updates comming man... it is looking good!
Go man Go! Get those interior panels cut and come on down so we can get the interior done too.
Man I love that dash. Go man go
keep pluggin along. Damn, now I want to go to LSR.
I plan on watching this thread and rooting you on from my hospital bed! Go for it, man! I hope to see the car in person!
Thanks Guys... No updates today, I had to go to Little Rock and help my bro move today, just got home, but thought about the coupe all the way while driving!!
Nevala... you should jump the hospital and ride with me!!
