Hot Rods Yoke stuck in 55 chevy 3 speed?? I know I'm stupid but what the heck?

This probably isn't the case but a number of years ago I had one get so hot that it welded it's self to the tailshaft.

I'd try standing it on it's nose in a wheel or bellhousing and knock the soft plug out of the back and fill the yoke up with your favorite rust breaking concoction. Let it sit and when the level drops fill it up again. Then if you have a puller take it and put some tension on it and increase the tension every so often until it pops loose.
