I'm probably not doing something right. I was in the go advanced mode, dont know
Thats one sweet looking Falcon, Can't wait to see some more!
Doesn't matter to me, 60 Ford, what the subject line is. I think we all agree that the content in this thread is what we are interested in. I am wanting to see more pics of that rear altered wheel position.
I got all the welding finished on the interior and it's ready to prime. I've got the rear frame rails finished, except for two more crossmembers I've got to add where the fuel cell is going to sit. Got to do some more trimming on the trunk floor and get my bead roller before I can finish the trunk floor. Here's some pictures of my progress.
Another interior shot.
Sweeeeet ride and build write up. Your really gracious with the guys that don't read the whole thread and keep asking what wheel and tire size your using!
Keep rocking it! this thing will be hot!!!
Great build! I live just down the road a ways. I cant wait to see it in person sometime. There are some cool falcons around here but that altered wheel base is killer!!
Thanks guys, I got some more done to the Falcon. I got the floor pans primered inside and out and I got the front frame rails finished, also repairing some rust I found around the right quarter glass. Hopefully I can spend a lot of time in the shop over the long weekend.
I'm down!!!Altered Wheelbase!!!
Enjoying your thread. So glad you dropped the winsor for the B.B.FE. Makes this seriously wicked. Romeo Palamides got it right when he designed those Torque Thrusters, all the 5 spoke mags since look like cheap copies. Sited these rocker covers on ebay. Maybe your cup of tea ?
The guy had a nice F.I. set up for an FE that would look great but i can't find it or it has sold.
AH! found it ! A little on the rich side, but way cool
Kool! Outta be pretty fast and lotsa fun!
Thanks guys, haven't got in the shop the last few weeks been working to much OT at work but more to come soon.
Zot, I'd like to have a set of finned valve covers. The F.I. would be great but I've never had a blown motor so this one gets a blower.
you will LOVE the blower, I cant wait to get my blown project going, its been too long since Ive had a blower car....keep up the great work
I could never build a blower motor until now, and this will probably be my last build so I have to do it now.
Spotted this on ebay;
Has a bunch of FE stuff too.
BLOWER MOTOR! Well i better not miss a shift when were side by side!
Very cool build ! blower motor..hhmm im sure i will have something for the FE,if i work real hard i might billetproof drags...hhmm
You have to bring that to the "MELTDOWN DRAGS" we are getting a seperate class for AWB cars. Believe me you won't regret driving a long ways once your there.
If I can get it ready in time I'd love to to come. Events like your is what I'm building it for.
What day you coming up for the Motorama? Friday looks good with the Hudson Hornets.
We are coming up Saturday afternoon and staying for the band.
In high School, a friend had a 64' Falcon Gasser, powered by a 289/306
Hertz Rent-a-car (GT350H) Shelby engine... yea, it screwed!
I still miss my 62' Chevy II Gasser (67' Van straight axle, 327 4 spd. Dual fours and a 55' chevy rear end).
I'd like to build another...maybe a 55' Chev or pre 63' 'Vette.
Have fun with your build!
The old Vette gassers are wicked.
Man that is going to be sweet! Killer job. More Pics Please.
hey cool build dude..i just got a falcon i want to copy you...jk(kinda..anyways,i was wondering if you can post some pics of what exactly you did to the frame rails.
I can get some pictures tomorrow night to post up. I used 3/16X2X3 tube in the rear, Crites subframe connecter that I modified in the center and 3/16X2X3 tube in the front that ties into the subframe connectors, so now it's basicly a full frame.
ok cool..so with the crites subframe connector its was pretty easy job?how long did it take?yeah post some pics up.thanks bro
