Looking good, I like your wheels . I almost went with 5 spokes instead of my slots on Falcon. Gasserman

No I bought it last year it the Ford swapmeet in Columbus Ohio.

This is after I cut ont rear quarters, installed 5 lug rearend, and a set of new custom leaf springs with relocated center pin and 1 in. extra arch.

I think the rearend width is great.

Sits a little low in the front end now, but I'll take care of that soon.

Nice Falcon. Those cars make great straight axle canadites and are real easy to do with a Speedway or MAS tube axle kit. Here are a few pics of the one that a freind and i straight axled a few years ago...

Shocker I called about that Ranchero when it was for sale. Decided it was to far to go get it, couldn't get off work.

  18. Thats exactly what I'm going to do on my next build, hopefully I will be able to find a Falcon likethat or maybe an early Nova. It is going to be for the ol lady so I guess it will be up to her.

  19. Cool...I saw that at the Columbus swap meet, looked like a good car to start with. I love those 2 door Falcons and Comets.

Your going to ruin that nice car...... just kidding( I heard that more then once building my 55). These little Falcons make great looking gassers. And being as light as they are, they go like hell. I'll enjoy watching your build. :)

It is a really good body,I hated to start cutting on it(not). I started with a 60 Ranchero first but decided it was to ruff. So I found this one.

Did I miss it? What are the tire and wheel sizes. What width is the rear-end? Looks about perfect to me!

Good to get that PIA work out of the way and start on the fun stuff like installing the front springs, mounts, axle, etc. Nice , neat job on the floor pan. Keep up the good work.

    Front tires Pro-trac 5.60-15 on 15x4.5s
Rear tires Firestone 8.20-15 on 15x8.5s
Rear axle 75 Maverick for now, I think width is perfect.

I finally got back iinto the shop to work on the Falcon. I got the frontend mocked up and started looking at how to stiffen the front subframe. This should be really close to ride height, the body is not sitting on the stands. Im preety happy with it.
