Took three years.............but here it is.
Yes, its glass but all of it was built in my garage by me. The only thing I didn't do was make the driveshaft.
    1963 283, 3spd Saginaw box, 8" rear.
The interior is leather I recycled from an old couch. Paint is single stage Washington Blue .etc.,etc.,etc.
Probably no where near as traditional as a lot of cars on this site but then again maybe it is. It was home built using parts I had or bargained for. All in all I'm very happy with the way it turned out.
Looking forward to sunshine and warm days

Looks Great! Lots of fun per mile right there!

  7. As I use to say about my glass Westcott roadster,it my not be real but it sure is real fun, the car looks great!

I was pumping gas and I had a guy ask me if my car was a real 32 or glass,I ask him what's it matter, his reply was I wouldn't want it if it wasn't steel.

I ask him where was his car and what he was driving, his reply was,Oh I can't afford a old car.

As we were leaving the station I saw him leaving on a Moped, what a dork! HRP

Reading this tells me it is more traditional than most here.

Those pic's look great an now a ton of fun !!
    Real steel,well that's a bit of missing the big part of the art n fun,it's "a real hot rod" is all that should count to owner. { steel maybe wroth more on resale,but is no less fun !!}
Ya my own is 1928 steel, but have never cared if the rod beside me is made of? Only that it was made out of love of hotrods. Smile,it's winner !

When I read this post with "Fonzie's" voice in my head, I realized just how completely immersed in character Dana's brain is with his avatar.:cool:

    Oh yeah, great car!

Killer...if most were honest about it, they couldn’t afford anything 32/33/34...hell, I’m looking for just a 32 shell and grill for my A and everything I find is $1200 plus...for a grill and shell...$1200......$1200 freakin damn dollars. I refuse to pay this kinda money, and I know guys that have wallfulls of these things that look at retiring by selling a handful of them. Hell, 32 bodies in any configuration are in the $30,000 range and A coupes and roadster BODIES are 5 to 8 grand when you can find a decent one. The fact that your body is glass means nothing to anyone except some of the guys that own originals...your car is way cool. Drive it and enjoy it...Heck, I’d own it in a heartbeat...great job, wish I owned it!

Looks great! The glass v/s steel debate is a bunch of bullshit.

    Nice scooter.
And like I tell all my FG bodied HAMB pals "hold that torch high and proud".

Your car looks really good! Love the colour and the "tight wallet" approach. Not everyone on the HAMB has bundles of cash for this hobby and it's more traditional. I have a Henry '32 5W and I haven't started it yet. But when it's done I would be very happy to park besides yours. Glass or steel, it's the look that counts. When mine is on th Eros do im going to have a little sign that says, "If anything on this vehicle does not meet your approval send cheque to the following address: ......"! (Though I would opt for bias ply tires.)
