  1. Part if mine has been yellow since '48. I think it is time for a change. LOL IMG_20180113_155959_367.jpg

Mine has been yellow too for 35 years. Drive across any grass car show park ing area and then count the grasshoppers on it!

    Hey B27,
Nice photos at the all time, hot rod picnic(s) in Nor Cal. We went to Andy's Picnic several times on our long road trips from so cal.(67,68,71) Crow Canyon was extremely hot, but what a gathering of hot rods.

Best viewing spot in the whole park...

I have a question for you. back in the very early 70s, I took this photo of a 39 yellow Chevy with green flames at one of the Andy's picnics. I met the owner and took more photos for a possible magazine photos and story. This is the only color slide I have left. It is possible that the rest were given away to the owner. I could be mistaken about the whereabouts of the rest of the photos.

I thought it was a cool looking Chevy (love those flames...) and should be in a mag. But, I cannot find this car in any car mag as a feature that I have seen, so far.

Would your latest photo of the yellow 39 Chevy be the same owner, with recent updates and look?

    Hello,
OK, I found an old thread by Hemi 32 with a photo of the same car. But, the question is still...is the newer photo an updated one from back in those old days? The old photo was posted by R&C Ron in the same thread.

There appears to be too many differences between the two. The front fender mods, the rear fender flairs, the hood sides, grill, etc. Plus the Rod Powell car seems to be sectioned (distance above rear fender to window)
    Both are nice looking cars!

Two different cars. The one with flames is sectioned. I think it was owned/built by Rod Powell.

Here's one from the moldy file!
Always liked this one, I think it is "school bus yellow".
How many of you $tr**t R*dd#r types remember who built this one.
    No cheating.

Wow! was this an all yellow car show @Blake 27 ? And i've always loved that '36 Willys. I seem too recall in being in STREET RODDER or R&C back in the day.
