    Hello,

Prior to the pandemic of stay at home, locked in place parameters, we used to go out once or twice a week to shop for groceries or just visit stores. Being in a So Cal climate does wonders for all of us. Perhaps that is the main reason we have been here for so long creating a vast history and experiences. But, when a bright yellow convertible is sitting in a huge grocery store parking lot, partially in the shade and my wife spots it before I did, it makes me happy she is still into hot rods.

Ever since we have been together since our college days, shared our family histories, purchased our own hot rod for rebuilding and taking our long road trips, it has been a great experience. She had no clue as to local hot rods, other than they looked different. To her, it was something to get you from her house to Knott’s Berry Farm or to her local high school.

But, over the years of being together in our hot rod photo shoots, road trips, car shows and meeting all sorts of people behind the hot rods and custom motorcycles, she has learned a whole lot.

Despite not having a hot rod for quite some time, she still has an interest as hot rods stand out from all of the rest of the similar design factory cars on the road, today. I am sure, that is why she is so keen on spotting something different on the road ahead or in the oncoming traffic.

When I showed her the photographs of the yellow Ford Convertible, later on, she remembers her time sitting next to her mom in their old 1947 Buick Convertible back in 1951. Memories are always sparked by what is in front of the road or in a parking lot. YRMV

I built a 69 boss 'stang that was yellow and black. It is a tough color to pull off and make look tough (like a hot rod ought to look). My credit to those that have pulled it off on these pages. The cards be stacked against ye.

  22. ...my 48 has some yellow on it;...I pieced this truck together using parts from several trucks;...originally I was going to paint the yellow to red to match the rest but everyone who saw it said just leave it as is...here's pics the HAMB photoshop guys did of it in all red and all yellow,...I like it 2 tone myself.
