  10. Have you had any luck tracking down any history of what we in the States call a cow catcher. HRP

  11. It was found on a special section of abandoned line that I have been studying for years. Its off a small main line 1800'sLoco (0-6-0) that never ran on this line. It was with 5 coal tenders and cut up Loco frames dumped in the 30's, some are Baldwins. JW

  15. Some of you will remember Santa's Cadillac, from HotRodPrimers Christmas thread.

Well Santa went back to the North Pole, and left his junk on my lawn.
Told me it ran when parked, but I Think the reindeer were doing all the work.:p IMG_20170116_195757.jpg

We now have fenders, and some rattle can paint. I also added headlights.

  17. Thanks mate. Left side headlight will be wired up to a battery.
I'll probably flame the front fenders and body sides, after more black paint.
Who knows how this junk will look in the end, but it's a nice distraction.

  18. Jeff-
    Outstanding work.

  19. Thanks, it's fun to throw old junk from the shed together.
Makes more room in the shed, and the locals are digging it.
I'm looking forward to the grass growing up around it.

  20. { Cool, Kiwijeff } Tell the home owners association, that Santa abandoned it! lol 352.jpg My grandsons little service station in the snow.

Better put a frame under it and make a roller out of it then....
.....no telling what this thing may turn into;)

  24. This Pegasus was rolled up into a ball by a CAT and left in an orchard. It was given to me by the owner and I brought it home and unrolled it. It fits perfectly on my shop.... Picture 22884.jpg

  25. Wow Ron, the blower has me green with envy, haha.
I need one for the Cadillac.
I'm scheming up an idea to use two Holden six heads, on a homemade wood V block.
It'd make for a cool looking V12, that would get all the gear heads wondering what the hell it is.

Here's mine, Built by one of my best friends in the late 70's. He was a Chevrolet guy (in the corvette hot rod pictures, I posted a picture of his '57 Vette.) He built this truck and later it became his work truck, we hauled winters worth of firewood on a trailer behind this truck many times, as you can see he also plowed snow with it. Since he passed on, his truck became a fixture in my yard, I haven't done anything with it. When he built it, he used a Ford Bronco frame, suspension, engine & driveline. It's powered by a '70 Ford 302 with a stick shift trans and 4x4. Honestly he really was a Chevy guy! RIP Lou Swartz, I miss you bud! DSCF1487.JPG
