    • I'm putting a 312 in my '34 Coupe, I have a front Hurst Style mount on the Engine, mounts made and welded to the Frame, but I don't have enough clearance to mount the Generator in the stock location. Anybody got any ideas? Mummert makes an Alternator mount (Yuck!) but it basically mounts down low like the Generator. Did ford make a different mount for the Y Block? Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Yuck be damned, I got the Mummert alternator mount ( a very nice piece ) and will tuck one of the compact alternators down low.

I don't think it'll clear my Engine mount. I looked at his photos, and it won't help. I've got a couple of Alternators off of a mid '90's GT Mustang, I'm gonna try to make work, I think my Son said they are 140 amp (?). The most difficult thing will be the Wiring.
