x-frame braces?

Anybody ever added braces or reinforcement to an x-frame car?I'm sure that it's probably common with the lowrider guys, but not sure how it's done.

 

maybe you could use Olds side rails?

 

Actually the idea is to box that X in like an Olds. I've done it. I just ran tubing from one leg of the X to another so it looks like so.........and never mind the 3rd grade stick drawing!.........

If that made ANY sense at all? It stops all sorts of things from happening like your body sagging.
