Here we have for sale a 1963.5 Galaxie 500XL, original 390 big block, c6 automatic, power steering, power brakes (not hooked up). Original Missouri car, when brand new the car was black, has an interesting story, tracked down the history and the original owner bought the car said he bought it with the sole purpose to drag race. Campaigned the car throughout the 60's at local drag strips and on the street. Installed the white button tuck interior in the early 70's, it is still in decent shape, it can be cleaned up and repaired being that only a few seams have split, still very soft. The car was repainted maroon and a white vinyl top was installed after he sold the car. The car is still in good condition, could use a repaint and TLC, I purchased the missing trim for the car. The floors are very solid as well as the body. The trunk floor has a few pin holes in it but nothing to be concerned about, still very solid. The body has about a nickel sized bubble on the lower passenger side quarter panel, between the wheel opening and the door. The driver side has a dime sized bubble on the rocker, the rest of the car is very nice. The windshield does have a crack in it and will need to be replaced as well. I just repainted the dashboard and I am currently putting it back together, the gauges that I have hooked up so far all work. All lights and signals work and the car runs great. The engine was professionally rebuilt less than 500 miles ago, mild cam, stall converter, performer intake and new shocks. Front end was rebuilt as well and all fittings were greased, new aluminum radiator and trans cooler and electric fan. Has brand new dual stainless steel flowmaster exhaust which runs along the frame, tucked up very nicely and dumps just behind the rear tires. I enjoy the car, its alot of fun but looking for something else. I am asking 14k obo I definitely have room for negotiating, but I am more interested in trading for a pre 1961 2 door car, hot rod, or custom, not interested in bikes at this time.
