  1. For those that don't do Facebook like me.

The Hot Rod Hundred is designed to bring back something that has been
missing for the last few decades…..driving. The Wisconsin Hot Rod
Hundred will be a drive that is off of the beaten path of everyday
travel, for most folks. We'll drive on two lane state and county
highways, cruise through some small towns, and have some rest stops
along the way, so we can admire each other's cars and regroup. You are
guaranteed a route that is 100 miles or greater.

Don’t want to drive your precious hot rod or custom that far? Maybe this
event isn’t for you. This event embraces road chips and bug guts as a
badge of honor. Go a hundred or go home………..

We be starting out @ Tomah , Wisconsin Walmart and ending with a box
lunch and a few awards being handed out, at Elmer’s Toy & Auto Museum
    https://www.facebook.com/ElmersAutoandToyMuseum/ near Fountain City,
    Wisconsin, overlooking the Mississippi River.

    Schedule of events:

    7:30AM - Check-in begins
    8:30AM - Check-in closes
    8:45AM - Driver meeting
    9:00AM - Departure

It's highly probable that stopping places along the route will not
accommodate all of us to gather at one time. This is actually a good
thing, as it will allow participants to stop when they want/need to
along the way, for bio-breaks, fuel, etc.

    PLEASE NOTE :
    • The focus of the event will be for cars and trucks 1964? and older.
That said we are not police or dictators. Bring a new toy and we will
    still talk to you.
    • All pre-registration entries must be received by April 30, 2017 to
receive the event T-shirt and box lunch. You may still register after
April 30th, but the T-shirt and box lunch won't be included.
    • The organizers may choose to cap the number of registered participants
    accepted.
Still working on the registration fee

Hey guys, I don't want to disrupt this thread, but I just saw the Hot Rod Hundred website; can somebody point me towards who I would speak to, to add an event here in So Cal?

OK, back to the topic on hand, and best wishes for a great event!

I assume you are wanting to ask if one is happening in California? Or you would like to see one happen in the future. We have a couple of guys that are looking to host one in 2018, but I am not sure where in CA.

I will ask them about it and see where they stand.

Actually, I'm interested in hosting one if no one else is doing it. I wasn't aware of that website showing all those different events located around the country. That's cool. Let's get one started here in LA/So Cal area, and add it to the website. If they need some one to work on it and get it going, I'll help, or head it up if needed.

The way it works is that we (CrossMembers) host the events. We generally start by asking around to see if there is any interest. Then we see if we have someone in the area to oversee it/organize it. We try and concentrate our efforts somewhere where the othe club members can come out and help.

OK, thanks for the info Roothawg, I won't muddy up this Wisconsin thread any more. But if you've got someone in the LA/OC/IE area that's interested in hosting then I say let's get moving on it. I'll definitely volunteer to help, and again, I'm no stranger to organizing and running events. OK back to the Wisconsin thread, have a great one guys. And be sure to post lot's of pics!

Thanks for the interest. We will see what is happening in the California arena soon.

  11. Current count looks to be 11, but it's WAY early in the registration window. Definitely off to a good start.

It will probably be the 48. Working on a 26T coupe now with a goal of BTT50's. It'll be close. Either way we're looking forward to the run!

Roothawg, sorry I can not make it as it is on the same date as Automotion in the Dells. I will have my 100 miles on though twice. Gary

  22. Two hours Fountain City to the Dells. You could get there for the cruise and not have to warm it up.
If not we will look for you next year!

Up to 20 pre-registered so far, not counting CM club cars. That's pretty good considering most registrations usually hit about a week before the deadline.
