Next thing you know, they'll be arguing whether these are traditional buckyballs or not and the NHRA (Nanoscale Hot Rod Association) will be limiting the temperature you can use to launch them!

Well, it IS 50,000 times thinner than a human hair so I think they're waiting to invent a nano-camera to shoot it, then there's the nano-photographer to actually TAKE the picture, then the nano-Photoshop to alter it and add the red wheels...

Here's one image from the story next to my buddy Alan Hartley's dragster (dunno why they picked his car, though). Might not be to scale, but I'm not sure...

 

But when do the nanobarns come along for future rodders to find them in?

I read that and thought it was pretty cool. I'm not sure how you'd photograph something like that or find a retro chick small enough to pose with it.
