The shop isn't my girls favorite place to be, but occasionally she will jump in and get dirty!

Maybe it was a bracket race?

    Too funny!

I've never met a girl into hot rods or cars in general... But what do I know I hardly meet girls...

Do what makes you happy and fuck what the others think about it. Its your happiness, not theirs. Thats whats wrong with society today, to many people worry about what Joe Blow thinks about what I'm doing. Screw what ever anyone else thinks about what you do that makes you happy.

Did you ever hear of Kim Lahay (i hope i spelt her name right), Top Fuel mechanic of the highest caliber in a very, very limited field. I believe she married Tim Richards.
How about the legendary Allison Lee, she was tuning Top Fuel World Chmpionship dragsters in the 60's.

My first "Steady" girlfriend liked to work on cars, since she was 15.
Unfortunately, she liked to do other thing too, when I was in Nam'.

  12. Her roadster is awesome. If I'm not mistaken, looks like she's got a Caddy motor in it....nice. *Must take a lot to keep that thing straight.

  13. My daughter is into hotrods and has a cool 51 Henry J. Check her out here on the HAMB. She goes by TRIX SAUM

My better half has been around cars since her grandpa and dad sat her on ther fender while they worked on theirs, she ran a 40 Ford coup coined Powder puff racing in the 60's up at Milan.

Our only difference is she is Chevy I am Ford. Although I own a GMC rod.

WHile we race, she can tell me if I am runnin lean or rich, or if my timing is off by listening to my pass from the side.

    I think its cool

I think it fine, so long as it's not my wife. I go to the garage for my time, to get away from it all. ( including the the wife. ) thankfully I found a woman that wants nothing to do with my hobby. She wouldn't go to a car show if I paid her. She says that's guys time out. God I love her.

  18. Wait just a minute!!!!! This isn't traditional, they never built cars low on the ground back in the day!!! LOL!!! I love it!!!

For the novice, I think that H.A.M.B. tee shirt is a great demonstration of negative camber and toe out. Still one lovely ride. I enjoy seeing women in the garage and involved in the sport. Would be a very dull world without them.

  29. My youngest Daughter worked at my shop in High School & Collage she changed tires valve cover gaskets. Had no problem cleaning parts in the solvent tank. She also drove a Drag Car for 3 Years.

I had my oldest Grand Daughter changing Disc Brake Pads at 11 years old.
