wiring diagram "key"

anybody have or know where to find a "key" for gm wiring diagrams? what the color abbreviations are is pretty simple but there is lots of other info that I am not sure I am deciphering correctly?? the harness I am working with is out of a '73 suburban (yes, I am trying to retro fit an old harness into an older vehicle, but money is non existant) thanks-

The number should be the wire gauge...
example...

DBL14 would be dark blue 14 gauge
LBL16 would be light blue 16 gauge
