Customs Wire wheels and tires

I just bought a 1953 Chrysler Town and Country s.w., and I have a set of wire wheels I want to put on it. The tires on the car now are 235/75R. My question is, will these tires fit on 6 in rims? Appreciate any help.

 

I would think so.

 

Most size charts I found show 6" is ok. I assumed 15". If you Google "rim width [brand] 23575R 15 it will come up.

 

Ever look at a factory equipped Chrysler tire from the 50's - pretty dang big un.....owned a few original spares for the ones I've owned. Even my 1956 Fury came with and I have the factory 6" wheels.
