    Great to see another local guy saving some of these Mercs. I have 2 that have been rescued from the trash. Neither were as far gone as yours so it gives me hope. Nice job. Those quarters look great on there. I can't wait to see this one in person....

    Nope. I agree. Those fins look ridiculous on those cars. Putting pointy parts on a smooth round car just kills the flow. But that's just my humble opinion.

    Awesome job on saving the Merc btw. It gives hope to all of us rebuilding total rust cans.

    Great work. You showed that you can save a car that many would scrap. I do agree with some of the guys, I am not sure about the fins but I want to see more pics of it. It might grow on me as it comes along. Awesome work though!

    Any chance you have larger pics of the initial rust repair? Mainly the rocker and cowl area?

    I've got '50 skirts and a rear overrider if any locals are interested, I'm in Chicago.
