This one belongs to a friend of mine. It might be coming up for sale.
My 30 98B coach when I picked it up in PA. Other picture current, getting roof soon!
Man that is some good looking wood in that bed.
mine on the build at the moment
Here's my 41.
I notice your car is right hand drive, where are you located? AU or US or NZ or UK
My 41 pickup when I bought it.
Shortly after I sold it 1987.
New owner 2008 at Thompson Gasser reunion.
hi there i am in the uk
My untouched 98,oo ml 35 I have had since 1981. JW
And my 37 I have had for 38 years, I bought it for my 18th birthday in 77. was my daily driver for 9 years and I clocked up 70,000 mls in her from 77-86 then put into storage. Still goes, this pic was taken in 2014. JW
The S&S Team on the way home from Indy. Dave Hales's willys being flat towed with the El Camino
Was wondering if you were going to post buddy, whats your plans for the 35, don't see too many of them. Thanks for stopping by. Tony
Beautiful car; have you ever ran it in the 1/4 ?
Heres mine, built to a rolling stage by Kiwi Kev, heres the link to the build thread.
Now residing in the UK running in the Gasser Circus series with a blown small block Chevy.
Having a ton of fun with it and continuing to change and upgrade things as time and funds allow.
It's all solid maple, various boards I had laying around, tiger stripe, picture and Birdseye . Looks great in his truck
Hi Tony and it would have rude if I didn't. My plans for the 35 are to keep it stock, just do over the motor, fit a 37 gearbox and redo the inside and thinking of leaving the outside as is as it has only surface rust. I may run it on a set of 37 wheels just for fun.
your 38 is coming along Tony, cool !! JW
Thanks for the comment. The car was an old gasser and was rebuilt with the theme of an old street/drag car. It has the necessary equipment to be run hard, but its never officially been down the 1/4 and timed.
To add one more ,here is my gasser I`m building to race . We`ll be out this season trying it out,
New to the board. Long time surfer. Muscle car guy but finally convinced in-laws to sell me this Willys. Hasn't been titled since 1968. Only took me 25 years to get it... No structural rust damage anywhere. Shot out windshield otherwise all is there. Now to decide what to do with it! Look forward to the journey...
Fortunately for you, the one-peice windshields are still available, cost around $400 I understand the two-piece are no longer available new...and I know where you can get a new gasket-around $150 for that...
What year is yours...??? It looks really solid, a friend of mine here in ColoRODo just put a Vortec V6 (below) in his and it fits really nice...he also used a Mustang front under his.
His is a nice street rod, mine's a gasser style...mine's a '52...here's another shot of mine...we're getting closer...
I've been scouring this site and others for pics on the Aero's...mine in a '53. Based on what I've seen, feel pretty lucky to have a solid piece. I'll take you up on that windshield gasket/surround when the time comes. What I really need to see are the chassis pics of these Aero's and what guys have done to add structure -- rear end bracing, front end (considering both straight axle and Mustang), etc...I'm starting the clean-up process, will be cleaning and saving the existing paint as much as I can. Focus will be on drive line and power plant (most likely small block Olds and four-gear). Short term -- get that Hurricane 6 running if I can...looks all there but dubious. Farmers drove cars until death...sooo......I'm guessing something is amiss.
Its official! I'm
a willys owner....I just bought the willys pickup starter kit, From Kiwi Kev... And will have him do some of the conversion For me
There is no going back now............you have the bug !! JW
Well done on your purchase, take it from me you won't be disappointed
Nice find buddy, the Willys pickups have a look of their own, I love my sedan but would really like to find a truck. Well keep us up on the build and with Kev starting the set up you won't go wrong there, He's one guy I would really like to meet, he does some nice nostalgia work. Thanks for Posting. Also would like to thank all you other guys for posting and showing off your great rides.
My '33 street/stripper. Built in '89. Has Ford 300 six power.
A few of em.
Porkshop , congratulations on the starter kit , you can't go wrong with Kewi Kev working on it , glad to see my old bed and front end being put to use
