Will it bolt up to a Ford 5.0 with a certain bellhousing? I have a guy asking about this, I didn't know so I figured this would be where to ask.

    Thanks --Matt

Assuming that is from a 63-64 5 bolt SBF, not easily. If it's off a 6 cyl truck or something, I really don't know. In 65 the SBF changed from a 5 bolt bell to a 6 bolt bell ,also changing to a wider bolt pattern on the tranny. From 65 to 95 the 5.0 ford used the same bellhousing bolt pattern. You will need to find an early 65 bell that has the dual pattern or have one modified. In addition you will need a bearing retainer that is slighty larger.

So why do it? You can find a million 65+ 3 speed tranny that will bolt up directly to a C5DA bell housing for cheap. I would be looking a the 3 speeds with OD that can be had cheaply as well.
