Technical Will a 670-15 fit safely on a 5.5" width wheel?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Scotch Buzzard King, Aug 1, 2021.

  1. I've been looking at the factory wheel size for a project of mine, but the problem I'm having is that Coker suggests a 670-15 should only be on a 4.5"-5" width wheel. The wheels I have happen to have a 5.5" width. Will the 670-15 fit safely on a 5.5" wheel?

  5. I was thinking the same thing. Every now and again, I let the world get in my head. Wheels for my car were 5" from the factory. I just happen to have a matching set from an early 1950s Chrysler that are 5.5". I don't want to spend the money for the factory wheels if I don't have to...

  10. I love your car. It's everything I love about what we do. You're preserving history while keeping it on the road. You've got great taste, my friend.
