WIde 5 hubcaps

So, I have spent a good amount of my afternoon reading posts on wide 5 wheels, and have some of my questions answered. One I did not find.
I have a set of wide fives that I thought where the same. Last night I was looking at them and noticed that on two of the hubcaps the V8 is recessed, the other two the V8 protrudes. I'm guessing different years? Anyone know which years? I thought what I had was '36.
