does any one reproduce 36-39 wide 5 brake drums?
No, not yet at least. That's why I scoff every one I can on the chance It may be useable. And why the NOS one or 2 that turn up occasionally go for gold price.
So whats the big deal with the wide 5
if your looking for a wide 5 drum I have a frt drum off a 37. Here are a couple of pics of it. $25 plus shipping
I like the way the wheels look
Hey Jbird I have 4 of them if ya need them
Wow! Where were these when I was begging people to sell them to me????????
4 what it is worth ,I had some trouble getting a set to work on my car,If I am right the mechanical brakes on the 36 are different offset than the hyd. drums. Maybe different on other years also.
My understanding is there is interfearence with the wheel cylinder and some high spots inside '36 hubs. But others have said that it is small potatoes, light lathe or disc grinder trim job. don't know yet, haven't had that trouble, YET. My hubs were supposed to be 37
I'm looking for a pair. Might build a dirt circle track (vintage) race car.
